The purpose of Mindful Movement (Mentastics) is to stimulate your desire to explore through movement a unique approach to self-development and psych-physical (MIND/BODY) integration.
Mindful Movement is for those who are seeking freedom of movement and ease in their body and mind. We are the sum total of every feeling experience mental and physical, positive and negative that we have ever had in our lives. These feeling experiences are stored in the unconscious mind and cannot be erased. Mindful Movement are mentally directed movements that suggest to the mind feelings of lightness, freedom, openness, grace, and pleasure resulting in an ageless body. Mindful Movement classes begin with awareness of breathing, full lung capacity breathing. Checking in/noticing how you feel physically and mentally before we begin movement. We will move into shift of weight and be aware of what your range of motion and movement is in your body. The classes are tailored to each individual and their capacity of movement. Staying within your comfort zone is vital!! As your body will allow we will explore movement with ease. The classes will be an hour so we have plenty of time to stretch and flex your entire body.
