Auction” November
is right around the corner and it’s almost time for the Arts Council’s
17th Annual Olivia Lay Live and Silent Auction. We are proud to have
Seminole Electric Cooperative Inc. as our sponsors again this year with
Brenda Atkins as our Honorable Chair. The Auction will be Friday
November 4th at the Larimer Arts Center. Bidding will start at
5:00pm and cost for entrance is $5.00 which includes bidding number,
and delectable food.
Don’t miss the opportunity to
have your business featured as one of the donors supporting this event.
We are now accepting donations of all kinds, from household items, to
antiques, to certificates for services, dinners, or giftware. Original
Art is a wonderful contribution as well, and a great way to promote
your art work, and help us continue to provide Scholarships to students
aspiring to follow in your footsteps! All funds raised go to
scholarships, enrichment programs, and operating expenses for the
Larimer Arts Center said Evelyn Snyder daughter of the late Olivia
Lay. Last years scholarship recipients were Melissa Hinner and
Matthew McLachlan each received a 1000.00 scholarship for Florida
School of the Arts.
This year we have some very
special auction items such as a beautiful beachside condo for two adult
couples during the Thanksgiving Holiday at the wonderful Surf
Club. Condo is completely furnished with exquisite taste great
for entertaining your special guests, donated by Mr. and Mrs.
McCormack. There are three pools, hot tub, dock beautiful
walkways and breathtaking sunsets. There will be a second
certificate for a weekend at the same condo. A quilt donated by
Nancy Carbone, Ken Mahaffey dinner for six, Music gig for your next
event or party donated by the Alligator Cowboys band, certificate
for a banner by Miracle Signs and Designs, a basket of delightful
handmade soaps and things by Augusta’s Way, Stain Glass by Lori
Malhoit, just to name a few.
Of course, it would not be the
Olivia Lay without the painted items from Esmee Coward’s art students
from Crescent City Jr. SR. High School and I have been told the items
will have a theater theme this year and sound great for a Home theater
room. We certainly are never disappointed by the incredible
talent of her students.
This year’s menu of food
will delight you with a variety of fine cuisine by Carolyn McCormack
such as chicken stuffed with Cajun corn bread dressing, ham covered
with fruit, and sweet potato soufflé piped around the ham.
Stuffed bottom round roast glazed with current glaze, Sheppard’s pie.
Accompanying these savory dishes will be 2 salads, cranberry and green
salads. There will be an array of sweet desserts. Music will be provided by David Michael Angleton playing classical guitar.
If you can donate, please contact by calling 386-328-8998 or by emailing artsinputnam@aol.com.
We look forward to seeing you at the Olay Live and Silent Auction.
